things<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We crack a walnut<br \/>We crack a joke<br \/>We crack a (spare) rib<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We blow out a candle<br \/>We blow into our hands for warmth<br \/>Those same hands that\u00a0<br \/>strike a blow<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We strike a match<br \/>We go on strike \u2013\u00a0<br \/>and come home to strike<br \/>a woman and (girl) child<br \/>(in the quiet and dark\u00a0<br \/>of family life away<br \/>from the glare of the public)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We build confidence<br \/>We build houses (albeit matchbox ones)<br \/>We build relationships, which we<br \/>then break down like they are<br \/>our matchbox houses<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We march, against apartheid<br \/>(of the statute book and the mind)<br \/>Sometimes we even march against\u00a0<br \/>capitalism and woman and child abuse<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We name our children<br \/>We name hurricanes<br \/>We call women names<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We take up burning issues<br \/>and bride-burning continues<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We arrange our furniture<br \/>and we arrange marriages<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p
